Practices that reverse Climate Change? Sounds impossible... But not when Complete Mitigation Science is used!
Complete Mitigation Science, or CMS, is a study compiled by Timothy C Thompson using the works of many. CMS is a major breakthrough in climate change science because it’s impact became undeniable within the multiple proofs in the study’s use of verification within it's math and logic.
CMS relates physical laws of nature to balance human and natural emissions with forestry's sequestration abilities. CMS also improved climate definitions that detail climate change's origin, timelines, and mitigation. CMS unveiled within the correlations between Earth's CO2 sinks, atmospheric CO2 in ppm, and human demand for forestry.
Earth's trillions of immature trees currently absorb almost no CO2 from the atmosphere, whereas existing and protected mature trees, 100+ years old, absorb over 85% of CO2 atmospheric outflow today. That outflow is not near enough to prevent climate change because those mature trees make-up only 3-5% of global forests. The study points out that historically, before climate change, that was not the case.
Since atmospheric CO2 is a foundation to climate change, CMS prescribed a restoration of the balance between sequestration and emissions in its "Sequestration Computation." The math concludes a restoration is more than possible providing CO2 sequestration is greater than or equal to human and natural emissions.
The ability of mature trees to sequester carbon is measurable, demonstrable, and directly correlated to climate-changing conditions. This correlation demonstrates how humans modified the global biome with what the study coined as demand-driven forestry practices. Those practices have resulted in CO2-driven climate change.
Today's younger global trees and on going harvesting of premature trees leads to a highly decreased ability for forest's to sequester atmospheric CO2. The study demonstrates that decreased capacity is over 98% of Earth's CO2 driven climate changing problem.
A tree's maturity is proportional to a its CO2 sequestration ability. Today's highly immature trees make up 90-95% of global forests. Those immature trees can only sequester tens of pounds of CO2 annually. In contrast, mature trees can sequester hundreds or thousands of pounds of CO2 annually. Over a trillion trees are growing on earth. Unfortunately, they are mostly between 5-60 years of age. But, we can fix that.
Yes, a cure for climate change is what we’ve found. Complete Mitigation Science is the Promethean gift to ending CO2-driven climate change. But not without your help.
